“Dave Walker and his band exist in that twilight world between musical styles, much as my own band does. Their songs evoke past and present Australia, just as The Band did for the American south. Songs like Brophy’s Tent and Pinnaroo Quarantine deserve their place alongside the work of people like Shane Howard and Paul Kelly.”

“The songs of Dave Walker paint vivid pictures of characters and situations that will have the audience captured in no time. Dave has two ingredients that are essential – good songs and powerful delivery. Not hard with an accomplished musician such as Dave himself and the hot band he’s got with him. They include players who have done the musically rich Melbourne scene for years. Dave’s casual nature emerges in many of his songs, but they’ll make you think as well……and laugh and cry and dance.”
~ Peter Denahy

“This isn’t country & western, it’s country & outback!”
~ Ross Cockle

Their music has a certain “something” that makes it irresistible….Musically they are definitely country rock, lryically unmistakably Australian. They are very exciting to watch, with Dave having the “it” whatever that is that makes a person hard to take your eyes off.
